Kegging Beer 3

Image
Kegging Beer 3  Wednesday 29, October, 2025  So now have all the bits and ordered a D coupler  keg adaptor and it worked fine. Also a quick release for the liquid side so can use the nutritap on that end.  I had unboxed the CO2 in regulator and tested it with the D-coupler keg kit and it works fine. It filed the keg with CO2 but no pressure as sodastream CO2 bottle almost empty and I'd not sealed the outlet when filling the keg so the CO2 leaked out, but some left in the keg at this point.  I unscrewed the Spears on both kegs and soaked them in the sanitiser from last bottling run. But I haven't cleaned out the kegs yet.  I need to do them both at the same time so can use the PBW- Powdered Brewery Wash and desolve, clean one, then pour into 2nd keg and clean that, then sanitise one & then 2nd then they will be ready for CO2 and beer.  Question, doser I use sugar for carbonisation?   clean keg:      Sanitize keg:...

Kegging Beer 2   Friday 17, October, 2025 I'm really fucking things up at the moment.   The kegs came & I hammered out top using a screwdriver on the lugs. They were not spring held so they came out easily.   The Head came for the keg but the clamp didn't fit.  So the adaptor head I ordered  won't work on the 25l kegs. OOOPS! I also got carried away and got a floating ball on cable for inside the barrel, that is redundant now.  So unless I invest in a different type of keg, say a 50l one then a lot of the bits I currently have are not much use.   Follow up & realization of d coupler Emailed Kegland about the  connector to keg and then looked on TradeMe about kegs and saw I had a d-coupler keg, so wrong dispenser head, so looked up D coupler heads American) - different from S coupler (European) (see vid https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gdXNESzIQMQ) so hopefully ordered the correct tap, then it has plastic ou...
