Kegging Beer 2
Kegging Beer 2
Follow up & realization of d coupler
Emailed Kegland about the connector to keg and then looked on TradeMe about kegs and saw I had a d-coupler keg, so wrong dispenser head, so looked up D coupler heads American) - different from S coupler (European) (see vid https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gdXNESzIQMQ) so hopefully ordered the correct tap, then it has plastic outlet line so had to get a quick coupler connection for liquid side, so ordered both on Timu for $55.68 which is cheaper than in NZ.
So next strategy is to use the keg as a D coupler and refill by removing original ball valve and rod, filling and then putting back original rod & standard commercial D coupler.
Cleaning Kegs.
Apparently they need a different cleaning fluid rather than sanitizer so ordered that from All Things Fermenting and ordered $150 worth of stuff to get $10 off for delivery. So some more beer extract & dextrose as well.
So next part is to clean kegs

So nothing working at this time so decided to go ahead and do bottled beer as running out of crates for bottles, so bottled Pale Ale with hops into bottles and so have the 2 kegs doing nothing at the moment.
Removing & replacing Spears for Kegs
So now have to get a D coupler remover, cheapest option is drill bit connector for doing it, that is about 35$ from AliE or 45-$59 + Delivery in NZ.

From watching videos one chap does it with adjustable wrench, so that may be the way to go for present. Seems bloody expensive for a beer spear remover, ut we'll see how it goes.
Current situation.
So I've to wait a couple of weeks for stuff to come from Timu. Hopefully it will be in time for next brew to be completed so I can do a kegged beer.
So more money spent but nil return so far.
